"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED

Dear

As we do not yet know each other personally forgive me for approaching you
in this manner. The circumstances I find myself in have necessitated this
correspondence. If you are conversant with the Global scene you will
recall, Colonel Mu'ammar Abu-Minyar al-Qadhafi of Libya, who died on
October 20th, 2011 in Sirte, due to sharp questionable practices.

I am Safia Farkash Gadhafi, The Wife of late Libyan president, whom my
husband instructed to move a substantial amount of money to West Africa and
Europe for investment purposes. The funds are currently stashed away inside
a bank vault. I feel that you will be suited to assist us with this
matter, while it affords you the opportunity of making substantial money
for yourself. It is our desire to make use of the $100 million USD funds
realized from the compensation fund that was approved by Libyan Government
to pay the families of 270 victims in respect of the Lockerbie bombing.

We need to access the funds, ASAP, as all accounts and assets of my
husband here have been frozen pending the outcome of the trials. The
biggest advantage we have at present is that the bank where the funds are
lodged understand the delicate situation,
and have agreed to assist us to the fullest. I need to know if you can work
with me on this. Just to update you. Please this is strictly confidential.

If you are interested in this transaction then please do not hesitate to
contact me through the below email: {safia66@hotmail.com}

Please it is very important that we communicate via email due to security
reasons. The above email has been secured strictly for this transaction and
every mail you send to the above address has been programmed into my
mailbox. This is for safety and confidential reasons. This is a legitimate
offer.

Best Regards,
Mrs Safia Farkash Gadhafi
.
