"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Barrister Nelson Robert, a solicitor at law, I am contacting you in respect to my late client a citizen of your country, who was a contractor and agent of SONACOP OIL Company in Cotonou Benin. [West Africa] .On the 26th December 2003, my client, his wife and their only daughter were involved in a plane crash Boeing 727 in a Cotonou after take off from Cotonou international airport in Benin Republic while traveling with his family to their country through Beruit line for new year celebration. The family lost their lives in the accident with all occupants in the Plane. Since then, we have not heard from any of the family members. I have searched for the relative but could not trace any. It happens that the supposed next of kin were also involved in the accident. I informed the bank of the demise. The bank has made several attempts and have sent several enquires to their embassy to locate any of his extended relations but could not.
Hence, I contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and Property left behind by my late client because the account has been declared as dormant and may be confiscated as unserviceable soonest if we do not lay claims urgently. The Bank has published several Notices for the Next of Kin of the deceased but couldn’t find any, since ten years now.
Since, I seek your consent to present you as the Next of kin of the deceased, and the fund will be paid to you without delay. Thirty Six Million Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Only. (US$36, 350 000.00) which was paid into his account before the untimely death. and we will share on the percentage of 60% for me, 40% for you
