Skills and qualifications needed:

The role requires a broad and in-depth knowledge of scientific, educational, business, industry, policy and related developments and trends in the chemical sciences and cognate subjects.
Excellent communication, networking and presentation skills.
Good project and time management skills including the ability to plan and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines under pressure.
Creativity and the ability to generate ideas.
Highly customer focused with experience of developing a wide range of external contacts and excellent interpersonal skills (verbal, written, negotiation, presentation, etc.) and an ability to communicate complex ideas to different audiences on various levels.
Demonstrable experience of leading multifunctional teams with strong people management skills.
Knowledge of science policy and funding developments in the UK and/or elsewhere.
Experience of policy work and/or business
Good IT skills and abilities
A PhD in chemistry or another relevant discipline is desirable

Based in Cambridge, UK.
Salary £55,869 - £89,411.
