"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Friend

Dear Friend,

I am Murthar Moammar from Libya. I made some legitimate sum of money
through oil sales and I have been able to save it with a major Finance
House used by those in the Middle East for saving and transferring money
to any part of the world, because of the uproar that happened earlier
against our Government distabilized all my investment intentions here in
my country. I want to send this money (37Million Euros), through the
company to you, an Organisation orCompany to use for investment till
it's okay for me to come down to get my money.

After all of this I will give you 20% of the money with the profits
which will be for you also.

To show your interest please send me a detail information of you, what
you
do/profession, age, marital status and your contact details.

Best regards,
Murthar Moammar
