"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello My Dear

Hello My Dear,

I am very happy to have your email information today and i will be happier and grateful if you will give me the chance to perform the documentations for the release of $12.1m to you with my power, I will send a fund release approval letter to the paying bank for the bank to contact you.

I will do my best to see that you receive the $12.1m then after that we can share the money.

This will be my deal with you as a staff of NNPC Management Office, I will add your name in the payment list for you to receive the $12.1m as one of the contract beneficiary so I will perform all the documentations for a smooth transaction.

Do not be afraid or surprise on how you will be one of the beneficiaries to receive this fund, I will make it possible so after you receive the fund ,you will share 60% / 40%.

I am a widow and I am about to go for retirement that is why I need to do this so that I will have enough money to take care of my family. My country is corrupt and nobody cares about widows, even the government cannot assist my family in any way that is why I am using this opportunity with you.

Please I want you to take this serious and promise me you will not be greedy to sit on the whole money when it gets to you. This is more reason I need to speak with you on phone for us to work with one mind,

please send your telephone number to me immediately you receive this email.

Thanks,
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Dorris E Abebe
