"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Kind Regards.

My Dear,

I am Mrs. Safiatu Farooq; widow of late Dr. Finch Habib Farooq, a British businessman who was the founding owner of Finch West Africa.

We didn't have a child of our own but we adopted Fatima who is now my only source of joy and happiness. Over the last few years, i have been battling with cancer (Ovarian Cancer) which has really deteriorated over the last few months.

My worry now is the future of this my beloved daughter, but there is the sum of Three Million Two Hundred Thousand Euros (€3,200,000.00) which my late husband deposited in a bank.

25% is for you if you will be interested and ready to help and offer your support and assistance so that this money can be transferred to your account for investment for our common mutual benefit and for the better future of Fatima.

Kindly let me know immediately by replying in through my more confidential ID: safiatu.farooq@daum.net

Mrs. Safiatu.
