"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This is my second letter to you, once more my name is Attorney Evans Christopher, I had a client a National of your country who died few years ago, May his gentle soul rest in peace, His bank has directed me as his personal attorney to find his next of kin so that they will pay the sum of US$4.3 million inheritance fund to him, the bank is anticipating someone with the same surname (last name) specifically referred from my office. All efforts to get his family relatives have not been successful. I came across your contact information and decided to ask for your cooperation to present you to the bank as his next of kin so that the money will be paid to you for our sharing on which will be negotiated upon your agreement, If you are interested, please contact me via the e-mail address; evans_christopher56@rediffmail.com and note that you are the only one I have contacted for this transaction to enable me make alternative arrangement if the need should arise.
