"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I NEED YOUR PARTNERSHIP.

*Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Peter Robert Esq a senior advocate and Public solicitor and I am
contacting you concerning the sum of USD$2.800,000.00 deposited with the
International Commercial Bank of Ghana (ICB) by my late client, a
nationality of your country who shares the same last name with you and
since his death no one has come for the claim of the funds.

He was the head of ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT of the Ghana Gold
Mining Corporation (GGMC).

During his annual leave,he was involved in a plane crash on the 18th March
2005; American Airlines 767; en route from Los Angeles to New York JFK.

Unfortunately he died alongside His wife and two children leaving no one as
his next of kin.

Since his death no one has ever come out as the heir next of kin to claim
his inherited fund with the International Commercial Bank of Ghana.

Prior to that, I am contacting you to know if it will interest you for me
to present you to stand as the next of kin of the deceased to enable the
bank to release this fund to you since you have the same surnames with my
deceased client,may his soul rest in perfect peace.

As his attorney I will surely provide all his relevant personal documents
that would be required for us to transfer this money to your destination.

I have all his details and I am ready to file it out so that you and me
would move this money into your account in the next seven (7) official
working days.

After the transaction is completed I would give you 30% of the total sum
for your faithfulness.
