"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I'm aware of the unsafe nature of the internet, but due to the prevailing circumstances at this time I don't have any other option than to seek your consent to this proposition through this means. I am Dr. Okon Edem, I am a senior staff from the office of the Presidency here in Nigeria. I write to propose if I can entrust the sum of Nine Million USA dollars to you for investment purposes. I have the means to move this sum to your custody. This will be paid to you as an Overdue Contract/Inheritance payment. The arrangement has been perfected as you will be enlisted as one of the beneficiaries shortlisted for payment under Category “C”

It might interest you to know that all necessary modalities have been automatically concluded and the said approved part payment is about be moved and delivered to you through the Diplomatic Courier Services by Express Cargo to your country of choice. Please note carefully that the content of the box will be the approved contract/inheritance payment value of US$9,000,000.00. The content of the box will not be disclosed to the Courier Company, but rather will be registered as "VITAL DIPLOMATIC DOCUMENTS" belonging to a GOVERNMENT'S client (That should be you).
