"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear sir,

I wish to introduce my self to you as account and audit manager in the
reserve bank of South Africa.
I have the opportunity in my department with the help of my late client
attorney to transfer his funds to your account urgently.
The account has been dormant for years now and according to the sate
constitution any account that has been dormant for 2 years has to be
claimed by the government and I have arrange with my client attorney to
move this funds as soon as possible confidentially to any international
account and go on one third percentage.
The funds will be divided in to three and me and my attorney will provide
two different account for you to tranfer our share to us in South Africa
immediately.
This has to be done immediately with no delays so let me know if you are
interested and ready to move on to this deal with us.
We will give you all detail information about this deal and the procedure.
