"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: INHERITANCE FOR AIR CRSH VICTIM'S NEXT OF KIN

Dear Friend,

(INHERITANCE FOR AIR CRSH VICTIM'S NEXT OF KIN).

My name is Donald Kike; I am an accountant with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. This corporation control and manages the petroleum industry in the country. There was a contractor, Mr. Yu Wang an Asian who executed contract for the NNPC and was processing the full payment of his contract before his death along with his his companions, (Mr. Huizhu Li and Mr. Yi Kang) in air crash on June 6, 2012 in Lagos Nigeria which claimed the  lives of all passengers and crew, 153 in all perished. The crashed Dana ail line had reg. Mark. 5N-RAM. His contract number is NNPC/FGN/0431/PHEF/2011 and the amount is USD25.5M. This contract is turn around maintenance of Port Harcourt refinery Nigeria.

The government has approved the full payment of this contract but no one from Mr. Yu Wang to claim these funds. We have searched for the next of kin to Mr.Yu Wang, to claim these funds but to no avail. I seek therefore a trustworthy fellow whom we shall pay this amount in his or her account as the real contractor and beneficiary of this fund. We shall register your name and company as the original contractor and secure documentations from both the ministries and our apex bank and funds released to your nominal bank account.

We need your name and address, company letter headed paper and invoice stamped and signed which we will use to transfer the contract information to you as the beneficiary, your mobile telephone number, office telephone number and banking coordinate. We have approximately five working days to complete the funds transfer to your account.

Sharing shall be 60% for us here, 30% for you and 10% for expenses both here and your side. If you accept please reply as soon as possible for more details. No risk at all.
