"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I wait to hearing from you

My Dearest,

I am writing this mail with tears and sorrow to seek for your assistance in regards to my medical situation here in London. I am Mrs. Anne Harrison from France, the CEO of Grunion Importer, Exporter of Gold dust base in Paris. I am suffering from heart disease which has cost me a lot of millions of Euro but all in vain. Just last week, my Doctor told me that I don’t have more time to live on this earth because of the complications with my heart diseases.  Having known my medical status, I therefore seek your urgent assistance to help me donate GB £ 11.4 Million Pounds sterling, that I recovered from selling of some Trunks of 24 carats Raw Gold to a British Gold dealers, which I deposited under a Bank here in London for safe-keeping.

I need you to help me distribute this money to orphanage homes, less-privilege and widows in any part of the world that your hand could reach before Christmas.  I took this decision because my husband is dead and I do not have any child that can inherit the funds when am gone.  If interested, you shall take 30% out of the total money for your assistance, and also use the balance for the project as I have instructed.  Immediately I hearing from you, I will introduce you to the bank and also give you a letter of authority (Power of attorney) that will establish you as my legal beneficiary to the money.
Thanks a lot and God Bless you.

I wait to hearing from you ok.
Sincerely.
Mrs. Anne Harrison
