"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello ,

Peace be unto you, I know my mail might be a surprise to you but never
mind because I am contacting you in good faith. However, accept my
sincere apologies if it doesn't meet your personal ethics.

Let me begin by introducing myself properly to you, I am Hon.Micheal
Alfred the personal attorney to (Late Eng.George ) a nationality of
your country who died in Libya during Gaddafi`s crisis and war, I am
contacting you to put claim on his left deposit of $10.5 Million US
Dollars as the next of kin, with one of the leading Finance Company
here in Lome-Togo Republic.

Since his death nobody have show up to claim the deposit.I seek your
consent to present you as the next of kin so that the deposit can be
release to you since you share the same surname with the deceased. You
will be entitled to 40% of the total sum as gratification, 30% will be
set aside for donation to charity project and 30% will be for me. I
shall send all information to you as soon as I receive a positive
reply.

The security company has issued me a notice to provide the next of
kin, Please do reply with the following information for further
clarifications.
