"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Attention Pls:

This email is personally for you alone. Pls, I request it to be treated as such only. I am Jeff Peterson a researcher with FREELANCE PHARMACEUTICALS and LABORATORIES Florida in the United States of America. I have a supply contract proposal for you that will be of great benefit to both of us. We can gain about 1 million USD profit for a start after the very first supply, I know it would be difficult for you to believe.

Basically, I normally travel to Africa to purchase a HERB Called HYPOXIS SEED, it is used to build up the immune system of patients suffering from cancer and HIV. It contain 10 sachets in one packet. The company have been short of the products due to the uprising in Africa lately as nobody could risk traveling there anymore.

Now, a friend had introduced a dealer of the same products (HYPOXIS SEED) in India to me and The Freelance Pharmaceutical and laboratory ltd have mandated to come over to Asia to purchase the HERB mentioned above but the issue right now is that I need the help of a reliable partner, who will stand as the distributor.

The actual selling price from the dealers in India is Rs.65, 000 ($1,291) and it is sold here in USA at $3,500 to Pharmaceutical Companies. I don't want our marketing manager to directly go to the dealer because the
company has allocated $3,500 per pack for the the product. My appeal is for you to get the product from the dealers then re-sell to our company at the stipulated price, thereafter the profit will be shared base on 50/50 .
I can't travel now after a bad accident, I have no intentions on losing out in profits as I need it to pay up my hospital bills.
