"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear friend,

May I seek your consent to introduce my project.
I am a banker and an opportunity of US$90M deal exist in my bank. I have
convinced my bank gorverning body and other authorities in the general
audit of the bank that just ended to justify the deal. I have concluded
almost all arrangement to transfer the fund to the bank account of any
foreigner who is capable to receive the fund and share the fund with me on
the share ratio suggested below.

I need your consent urgently to obtain certificate of ownership of the fund
in your name for the fund to be transfered to your approved bank account
within three banking days. I will be ready to partner with you on this deal
on share ratio of 40% for you and 60% for me. Confirm your acceptance and
reconfirm your full name, country of origin, country of residence and
contact cellular phone numbers.
