"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Mutual Benefit

Sir,

Permit me to bring a matter of utmost importance to your observation with
hope we can find a common ground of understanding for a mutually
beneficial project. I am Juliet Richards,my parents were involved in an
auto crash accident along Ibadan Express Road in Nigeria. Unfortunately
they lost their lives in the event of the accident.
My father was into mining especially Gold Dusts before his untimely death,
he was a very successful man in business. At this moment, I want to you
to stand on my behalf as the beneficiary, the funds deposited on my
name as the next of kin, because of his present condition I cannot be able
to do much, I was strongly advised by the bank and my lawyer to seek for
an assistance for release the funds.
I shall forward the necessary information you may need to proceed for the
release of the funds.
Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated.
Sincerely,

Juliet Richards
