"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Thanks for your help!

Dear Friend,

I know you may have forgotten me by now but I have not forgotten you as
such I decided to write you this email. I wish to let you know that I
have concluded the transaction after you abandoned me and the transaction
due to some misunderstanding that made us not complete the transaction
then.

I am happy to inform you that I have finally succeeded in transferring the
Funds to abroad with the help of one Mr. Batra Kalison. We are now in the
remote part of his country where we are investing the Fund.

However, for the effort you made in order to help me those days, I have
decided to compensate you with the sum of Eight hundred and fifty thousand
dollars (USD850, 000.00.) This money is now deposited with First Bank Plc
in Lagos, Nigeria. Hence, you are advised to contact the director of
operations, Mr. Alex Nadi via email: alexnadi1@outlook.com so that he
will send you the fund. I am sorry for the inconveniences I caused you
then, and implore you to contact the above mentioned person for your
compensation.

Best regards,
John Kutri
