"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My humble donation of my fund to you for charity

My dear,
I am mrs verenice Thubber,I am a widow currently suffering from Leukimia,I am writing you from my hospital bed just to ensure that the wealth i have amassed in my life is being taken care of to look after the poor children and the under priviledged.Though i may understand how suprised you will be on receiving my message since we may not have met before. It came such an urgent after my doctor has revealed to me that i might not survive my present health challenge so i dedided to look for a way of willing out my money.
I have the sum of Five million pounds deposited in a safe vault in a bank in London, the money i have actually inherited from my late husband who died of cancer two years ago.Our marriage of 25 years did not produce any child after my husband was diagnosed of having a low sperm count.Because of our love for each other we accepted our faith and never to adopt any child but we have often visited the motherless babies home and the old people homes to offer donations.
I am 68 years and having recognized my present health condition i have decided to  leave behind my posession to a God fearing individual who will do with the money the same way i and my husband have been doing for charity.
I have selected you from your profile because  i am certain you will not disappoint my intent.
I will like you to reply to my email so urgently because i am afraid i might drop dead at any moment going by my present predicament.
When i receive your email,i will be introducing you to the bank where i have kept the money so you will have to get the money from them and use it as i have directed to you.
I am a christian and i am hoping to do as the bible preaches on charity giving and giving to the destitutes and i hope to achieve this through you.I am giving you the authority to reclaim this money from the bank and utilize it the best way you can to the benefit of the poor  and the vulnurable in the society.

I expect to hear from you soonest

Mrs Verenice Thubber
