"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is Mr. Funsho Adanti  Ashimolowo, the head of account Department of Exxon Mobile Corporation Nigeria,  I amwriting in respect of a foreigner and a  contractor with Exxon Mobil Corporation Nigeria, I am aware that this is certainly an unconventional approach to starting a relationship but considering the urgency I have no option but to reach outto you with this information through this medium,though (Internet) has been greatly abused, I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest medium of Communication.
This foreign contractor and director was awarded a contract value of .Eighteen Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars…. the contract was dully completed and payment made 3months later into the Domiciliary bank account of this Company here in Nigeria, for  Five years now the management of this bank has expected this contractor to come up for the running of this bank account but it has not been, the information which I got from his friend and referee confirmed that this contractor died of cardiac arrest  on vacation in the United Kingdom and this payment has been lying dormant in the said bank account without any foreigner putting in claims on  
On this note, I decided to seek for whom his name shall be used as the Next of Kin or business associates as no one has come up as his next of kin. In view of this I got your contact on my search on the data base of your country citizen on my quest for a foreign business partner, who will be presented to the financial firm as the next of kin to the deceased client to enable the management release the fund in your favor.
 
For your cooperation and assistant I am willing to offer you and your family 45% of the total amount, 5% to cover all expenses reimbursement and 50% for me and my family.
Upon the receipt of your response, I will send you by fax or attachment the basic information and documents to enable us start the processing of this claim. I will not fail to bring to your notice that this business is free from any Governmental risk  and shall be carried out under legitimate procedure without breaching any of the International Law, in other words, you should not entertain any fear as all modality for the smooth and easy claim process and  transfer of this fund has been finalized.
 
Please take note my wife is the only one that I have discussed this business with and we both agreed to do it with you, I will give you more explanation on this transaction on getting the following details:-
