"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM ECOBANK PLC

Dear ,

I write to you with good faith, however, I want to let you know that the bank will soon be going for the last year annual auditing and once they commence on this, it will affect your fund (Two Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) which might not be possible to be released to you except you come by yourself, now is the time!!!! The time for you to work it up and receive your fund either by transfer or every other means which is possible.

Contact the bank now before it is late, request for your fund release, it is due to you to tell them the means to do that but as for me, two ways are the best which is direct transfer and Global ATM Card, therefore, you are to inform them on the means to get this done.

Here is the bank contact info:
