"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

How are you? i guess this mail may surprise you, please accept my
apology if in anyway i have bothered through my mode of contact, i am
a legal practitioner and i was representing one foreigner on legal
matters here in Togo. He is a contractor who had worked wih an oil
servicing company here in Togo...But he died with his family on a
plane crash in Brazil. Before this accident he had transaction with a
bank here, he deposited some amount of money with this bank here, I
was aware

This bank also has notify me that the fund that was deposited by my
client has been short listed as abandon/unclaimed fund. Therefore I am
contacting you to cooperate with me to secure this fund,regardless of
your connectivity with deceased man.

Confirm this mail, rely me back for more detail of the transaction.
