"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

An email address listed inside this email has been used in a known fraud before.
This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
- "dearest one," (a common phrase found in 419 scams)
- "hundred thousand united states dollars" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
This email message is a "dying widow" scam.
This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

I’m Sussana Rebecca Tsebe the REC TREASURER ANC YL OF NATIONAL CONGRESS of the Republic of South Africa since (2004-2009) you can view my profile at the government website. I got your email contact from a business directory and prayed about it after due deliberation with my only child, i decided to contact you for your assistance to stand as a beneficiary to the sum of US$30.5M (Thirty Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only).

I am visually impaired widow a mother of one child under the auspices of the preceding president of South Africa Nelson Mandela i was a member of the Sub-Committee on Organisational Development and also participating in youth activities Branch Recruiter/organiser in Mabeskraal Branch (1992-1993) Seolong Branch Secretary (1994-1998) Mankwe REC member (1994-1995) Volunteer at the Regional Office Mankwe ANC YL Regional Secretary (1995-1998) Bogonala ANC Regional Administration from (2000-2004) North West ANC Provincial Membership Officer (2004-2009) Active branch member of Ward 2. Rustenburg.

After the swearing in ceremony in 2004 making me the member of Parliamentary Religion Working Committee of the ANC member, a lot of government contracts were awarded to my late husband with my influence, this actually paved ways to our success my husband died while he was on an official trip to Botswana in 2010. After his death, i discovered that he had some funds in a dollar account which amounted to the sum of US$30.5M with a stallion security and finance institution here in South Africa.
This fund emanated as a result of an over invoiced contract which he executed with the government of South Africa. Though i assisted him in getting this contract but i never knew that it was over-invoiced by him.

Due to the condition of my health my doctor told me that i will not live till the next three months because of the cancer disease. Nevertheless, what disturbs me most is stroke, having known my condition i decided to donate this fund to a church or better still a Christian individual who will utilize this money the way i am going to instruct here in. i want a person or church that will take care of my only son Johnson and also use the money to churches, orphanages, research centres and widows propagating the word of God and to ensure that the house of God is maintained.
