"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

to transfer the sum of (USD$8.5M) Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand U.S.
dollars. The said money came from an over-invoiced of Multi Billion Dollars
Contract awarded to foreign firms here in South Africa in preparation of the
2010 Fifa World Cup hosted successfully here in South Africa.
The contract awarded ranged from: RURAL ELECTRIFICATION, UPGRADE of POWER
ENERGY SYSTEM, Building of New Football Stadium and Upgrade of existing ones
to Fifa standard. The said contract was executed in year 2009 and has been
fully paid up leaving behind the over-invoice amount of Eight Million Five
Hundred Thousand United States Dollars (US$8.5M). Hence, I contacted you so
that we can put in your name as the sub-contractor/beneficially and the fund
will be transferred into any of your bank account.
For your assistance, you shall receive 30% while 70% will be for my
investment in your country. If you are interested in working with me as a
partner, then indicate your interest and more details will be given to you.
