"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Subject: FROM GERA (VERY URGENT)

Dear sir,

My boss, wants to come to India and buy some chemical for animal
drugs, we can get this chemical only in India,
This chemical is sold in India at (250,000 Indian rupees) for one
liter, which is about $4,100 dollar, but my box use to buy 100 liters at the
rate of ($1,540,000) which is about $15,400
Per liter,

I will give you the contact of the local dealer in India so that
you will buy from them and sell to my boss at a very high price, the local
dealer is selling the chemical at the rate of (250,000 India rupees), for one
liter.

And my boss will buy it from you at the rate of ($1,540,000 for
100 liters), meanwhile you and I will share the profit you will make from my
boss, if you are interested I will forward the full contact of my boss to you,
so that you can contact him for more discussion regarding the business.

And I will still give you the contact of the local dealer in India,
I am expecting to hear from you
