"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello dear,

Dearest in christ,

I go through your profile to mail you for a permission to go ahead. As you
read this I don't want you to feel sorry for me because I believe everyone
will die one day.I am Mrs. Jean Arizapa. I am married to Mr.Jacob Arizapa
who owns a cocoa exporting company in Ivory Coast for twenty Years before
he died in the plane accident we were married but without Any children.
Since his death I decided not to re-marry. I have been diagnosed with
Oesophageal cancer which was discovered very late due to my laxity in
carrying a proper health scheme. I have decided to give alms to charity
organizations as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on
earth.I wish to request for your assistance in a financial transaction, to
invest and help distribute the money to the charity organizations ,I will
expect to hear from you if you think that you can do this for me. The
total amount is 9 million USD.
I need someone with a God fearing person to handle this transaction with a
promise to use the funds for charity project with the name of my late
husband, please respond as soon as possible, as I am lying critically on
my sick bed with this terminal disease.
Please do get back to me for further details.

Sincerely,
Mrs.Jean Arizapa
