"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings!!

We are looking for manufacturers whose product is of Certification as a
good quality product.

The ECOWAS Procurement Board Ghana has published their 2014/2015 Annual
Projects, about twenty six (26) Products/Items will be needed for
Purchase/Supply in a larger quantity.

I will appreciate if you can send me your Product ists/Catalog/Price
quotations by email to Cross-check if you have any of the listed items, so
that I will Visit their Office and give you full details including
quantity, terms of payment, shipment and destinations.

It may interest you to note that the committee makes an advance payment
(Mobilization fee) of 80% of the contract sum by telegraphic transfer and
an irrevocable L/C of 20% to be confirmed by your bank before supply.

We need different kinds of products and you can reach us for effective and
efficient business.

I am an accredited government commission agent, and my commission is 0.2%
of the total invoice value which comes to me after you receive your total
payment
