"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn please,

Kindly forgive my interfering in your privacy.

I am a 22years old refugee who need your sincere help, I am beneficiary
to deposited two consignments of Gold weighing 385KG each, I inherited
it from my late uncle after the sudden death of my parents two years
after I was born.

As you know that Ghana is among the known Gold producing countries in
the world, my late parents and uncle were local Gold miners and this is
how this Gold is realized by them.

Due to our family problems arising and envy too, I wish to move this
consignments of Gold of mine to you in your country so that you can sale
it for me because I learn via the CNN and BBC news stations that such
raw materials cost more amount of money in the overseas countries than
in Ghana where it is mined/produced.

I promise to share the realized sum after selling of this Gold at the
ratio of 60% belonging to me while 40% will be yours, for your kind
assistance to me.

Your immediate response to this message will be highly appreciated.
Please accompany your response with your direct telephone number for
future communication.

Sincerely,

Mr John Wild.
