"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I Want To Donate To Charity Through You.

Greetings in the name of God, my names are Mrs. Sabeen Assad from Syria,
currently living here in Benin Republic as a refugee, and also undergoing
medical treatment here at Saint Thomas Specialist hospital Cotonou Benin
Republic. I am married to late Colonel Ahmed Assad, an extended relative to
current Syrian President and dictactor Bashar al-Assad, who I detest so much
with passion, due to his dictatorship style of government, that's why
I fled the
country for my dear life after the assination of my late husband. My late
husband worked as a detachee in one of Syrian Embassies in North Africa before
his death five years ago. We were married for fifteen years without a child.

I was recently diagnosed of a chronic cancer, and my condition is really
deteriorating and is quite obvious that I may not live more than 90days
according to the doctor's report, because the cancer stage has gotten
to its 3rd
stage together with my old age. l have decided to donate all my late husband's
fortunes to charities, since I don't have a child to inherit the
wealths, also I
don't want to have anything ever to do with any member of the Al-Assad family
because the was behind my late husband's death for reasons best known to them.
Non of them even know am currently living in this country, and I could
like you
keep this mail away from the public to ensure non of the Al-Assad
family member
gets to know about my current location or about my intention to donate to
charity through you. Before my late husband's death, he deposited some huge
amount of money with a bank here in Africa, the total amount is $3.5
million and
I am willing to donate the total sum to charity through you, and I
hope you can
distribute it wisely to the needy and poor in your country. I want to use my
late husband's wealth to help humanity, and I certainly hope you shall
distribute it wisely.
