"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

An email address listed inside this email has been used in a known fraud before.

- "affidavit " (Barristers (lawyers) mentioned in 419 scams are always fake.)

This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

Address: Sterling, VA 20166, (USA); during our recent investigation of some withheld package routine check at the Airport Storage Vault, we had discovered an abandoned shipment from one Diplomat agent called Tony Obi who came all the way from West Africa(Nigeria), under shipping forward from Hatfield-Jackson Atlanta Intl Airport to our facility custody here in Dulles International Airport Washington DC and when scanned, it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in one Metal Trunk Boxes weighing approximately 12kg. The consignment was abandoned because the Contents of the consignment was not properly declared by the consignee as "MONEY" rather it was declared as gift item to avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent and also the inability of the diplomat to pay for the United States Non Inspection Charges, On my assumption, the boxes contain more than $3.5 Million and the consignment is still in our Storage House here in Dulles International Airport Washington DC till today. However; you should be informed that the Consignment in one metal boxes with weight of about 12kg (Internal dimension: W61 x H156 x D73 (cm). Effective capacity: 180 L.) Approximately, the details of the consignment including your name/address and official document from the United Nations in Nigeria were tagged on the Metal Trunk boxes.
