"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PLANE CRASH

Hello,

My names are Michael Morley, staff of Coutts & Co Private Bank London UK,I
am contacting you based to an opportunity I discovered when I joined Coutts
& Co as Chief Executive in 2009,that will be of benefit to both of us,but
please,I would not want you to look at me as a thief but as an opportunity
because the next of kin was also wiped off in the plane crash.

Details,on the 17/02/2000,I discovered that a German estate tycoon,Late
Mr.Andreas Schranner,deposited the sum of 17,600,000.00GBP (Seventeen
million Six hundred thousand British Pounds) under our portfolio management
department and the Account Officer then is no more with the bank,I quickly
shut down the server and went straight to meet with our Legal Firm to
discuss this issue with him and we had an agreement because the deposit has
long over stayed before the bank will take possion of the fund, you can
visit the website and read more about the crash,(
Http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/859479.stm).

Upon our mutual agreement, our Legal firm here will present you as the new
beneficiary to the inheritance Fund,I don't know how you will feel about
this because I don't or may not know your kind of person, but if you are
interested, please keep secret and respond urgently with gladness,to
discussion and special map out strategy to get it to you will be done.

I will provide you with all the necessary documents/legal services as part
of our role,as our services include the preparation of Letters of
administration and powers of attorney to our client as the next of kin,on
your acceptance of this deal,we request that you kindly forward to us your
letter of acceptance, your current telephone and fax numbers and a
forwarding address to enable us file necessary documents at our high court
probate division for the release of this sum to you.
