"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is Mr. David Bassey, I am the Deputy Manager and also the Head of Financial Control of United Bank For Africa Group (UBA). I am 48 years of age and married with 2 lovely kids. It may interest you to hear that I am a man of PEACE and INTEGRITY; I only hope we can assist each other, I have packaged a financial transaction that will benefit you and I.As the Head of Financial Control of United Bank For Africa Group (UBA), It is my duty to send out a financial report to our head office at the end of each annual general meeting/financial report.During our mid-year annual general meeting which ended 2 weeks ago, I discovered that my branch in which I am the deputy manager made an excess profit of Four Million and Eight Hundred Thousand united States Dollars [US$4,800,000.00] which my head office are not aware of and will never be aware of.
