"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Greeting in the name of Allah, I am sorry to contact you in this way since
this is the only medium I have to get in contact with you especially now
that we are in the prayers of the Ramadan; my names are Mr. Tawfiq Mustafa
the director of Islamic development bank in Ouagadougou Burkina Faso. I
will like you to receive the sum of ten million six hundred thousand
dollars in your account for me to come and establish with you over there in
your country.

One Mr. Alimarimi Sami Mohamed from Libya whose dose Business in Burkina
Faso made a deposit of Ten Million six hundred thousand dollars with me on
31st of June 2011 before he travel to his country to visit his families,
and we have sent a notifications to his address which he stage in our bank
but got know reply, finally as they have a new entering government our bank
sent reminder and discovered from their current Libyan ambassador that Mr.
Alimarimi Sami Mohamed and all his families was killed in bomb blast on
16th October 2011 by 5PM.

It is upon this respect I seek to present you as a foreign partner and my
bank will transfer this money into your account, upon your acceptance to
massage, I we send you the information’s on how this deal would be carried
out.
