"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Please as a matter of urgency, you are required to verify the following information and inform us if you are aware or know anything about this. This morning Mr. John T. Kehoe came to the office claiming that you have instructed him to come and receive the payment on your behalf. And i asked him to come back tomorrow to enable me verify if really you sent him or not as he did not provide any power of an attorney from you which will proof that you thoroughly send him. 1) Did you instruct one Mr. John T. Kehoe of 122 Fitch Way,Sacramento, Ca, 95864 USA, to claim and receive your payment on your behalf? 2) Did you sign any 'Deed of Assignment' in his favor thereby making him the current beneficiary with the following account details: Account Name: Mr. John T. Kehoe Group Ltd, A/C #004792442195
