"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

establishment. We are seeking your assistance to move of [GBP =A335,000,00=
0.00] THIRTY FIVE MILLION POUNDS STERLING] to your account/country for furt=
her private investment.
Please note that the nature of your job/business does not matter and you w=
ill be better informed when I hear from you. This amount accrued from an ov=
er-invoiced contract amount for the construction of an Oil Refinery Sub-sta=
tions in east London in 2005 to expatriate companies. The contract was orig=
inally valued for One Hundred and Twenty Seven Million Pounds Sterling (=A3=
127,000,000.00), but we manipulated the figure to read One Hundred and Sixt=
y Million Pounds Sterling (=A3160,000,000.00). The extra =A335,000,000.00 i=
s what we want to move to your account for our own personal use.
This contract has been completely executed and the original contractors ha=
ve been paid their entire contract sum. We have agreed to remunerate you wi=
th 30% because it is impossible for us to claim the amount here in London w=
ithout foreign collaboration. 10% has been mapped out for any miscellaneous=
expenses incurred by either party during this business such as taxation in=
your country upon arrival of the funds into your account, and 60% for my c=
olleagues and myself.
All modalities to move this money have been worked out. This transaction i=
s 100% risk free but requires 100 percent confidentiality. This is a golden=
opportunity, which must not be allowed to slip out of any careless acts an=
d utterances. We chose you for this transaction because we believe that goo=
d friendship can be discovered and businesses such as this cannot be realiz=
ed without trust. You can be rest assured that your security has been consi=
dered before you were contacted.
