"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD NEWS FOR YOU.

Attention,

I am a former US Army Contractor presently working as the Assistant Director Inspection Unit of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) USA. During our recent withheld package routine check at the Airport Storage Vault, I discovered an abandoned shipment left by a diplomat from London who was supposed to deliver this package to you but failed to provide necessary clearances needed by the US Customs and when scanned recently, it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in a Metal Trunk Box weighing approximately 38kg.

The consignment was abandoned because the Contents was not properly declared by the consignee as “MONEY” rather it was declared as personal effect hence the United States Government returned the consignment back to Origin (London) through a UK accredited Diplomat Agent who is also a Reverend and a senior Citizen. From my assumption, the box contains more than $10 Million Dollars in cash and am happy to inform you the good news that the Diplomat agent has confirmed arrival to London Heathrow Airport United Kingdom with your consignment Box which is currently awaiting Arrival processing at the Airport diplomatic Arrival Terminal.

I advised the Diplomat to assist you clear the box from the Airport and take the funds to HSBC bank London head office for immediate transfer of the total sum to your nominated account anywhere in the world. See below the contact of diplomat from England who is currently waiting to hear from you for the scheduled transfer, contact him now and send him your account details where funds will be wired.

Diplomat Agent : Rev. David Metcalf
Email: (davidmetcalf22@outlook.com)
Telephone: +447700019472
Package Return code : (LHR/LN/938909)

The details of the consignment includes your name, This email address and the official document from the United Nations (UN) and the IMF office. However to enable the diplomat confirm you are the actual recipient of this returned consignment, I advise you to provide your current Phone Number, Address and the Package Return code : (LHR/LN/938909) to enable him proceed with the Arrival clearance. Contact the diplomat in charge now so that he will collect the box and head for the HSBC bank London for a direct transfer of total funds to your account since we have confirmed a successful package return.
For your information your consignment was supposed to be turned over to the US Department of Treasury as unclaimed cash delivery but i knew it will not be accounted for by the Government so that is why I helped you and arrange for the return of Consignment Box to Origin so call the Diplomat immediately to avoid delay. Give him your maximum cooperation to successfully transfer your funds to you as scheduled.

In God we trust,

Yours Faithfully,

Mr Robin Erickson
Assistant Director Inspection Unit
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) USA
