"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Friend,

Dear Friend,

I beg your pardon. I would appreciate opportunity to discuss with you a matter of inheritance deposit which I intend to invest in your country since I cannot stand the pain and agonizing threat from my uncle's who want to take the inheritance from me "seeing that my parents are dead. I beg you to help me, unfortunately my condition did not give me the opportunity to have a physical survey to access your reliability and trustworthy but I believe you will not betray the confident I reposed on you to help me to transfer the sum of $7m to your bank and help me to invest the inheritance into profiting business in your country on my behalf.
Truly, I don't know you but I want to rely on your assistance to secure the inheritance for a good investment.
