"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HI.

 Hello,

I am Mrs. ANDREA FRANCIS, of CANADA. I married to my husband, for nine years before his death on December 2012, when my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $2 Million Dollars with a bank in Canada and this Bank has written to me to step forward and claim my late husband fund or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive the fund on my behalf since I cannot go there, due to my illness here in CANADA; at the hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for cancer illness, and I decided to donate this fund to church organisation. Can I trusted you to claim this fund on my behalf? Because I needed a trusted person to handover the fund to and use it on churches and orphanages and you can keep the half of this fund for you and your family, can you? If you’re interested your urgent response is needed for more details.

Pending the confirmation message of your approval and your ability to receive these funds, receive the expression of my fraternal
greetings.

Fraternally

Mrs Francis
