"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE: INQUIRY REGUEST****

Hello;
I am Mariana Clauson and I got your contact information on the web. I am
acting on behalf of Hatsue Shimizu and Yoshiko Ishii (sisters) both
children of a Japanese businessman who owned and managed a Property and
Finance company but died in the year 2004.

These two sisters inherited a sum of 7.5bn Yen which however has been
seized by their government. Recently documents were found by these
sisters indicating that an amount of US$7.5 million was lodged by their
late father in a deposit/security firm overseas.

We now need the co-operation of a neutral party [who is in no way
related to the family] whom we will present to the firm as "trustee" of
these funds in order that we may have same released and invested [on
behalf of these sisters], under your supervision in your country.

Please, read more about the sisters' story via BBC
News...//news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7289581.stm

I have revealed the source of these funds to enable you operate and
manage the investment with settled mind for the benefit of the parties
concerned.

I look forward to a prompt response from you as this matter is most
pressing to my clients.
Yours sincerely.

Mariana Clauson {LCA)
