"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: VERY URGENT

Dear Friend,
My name is Barr: Abed Omar, an attorney/solicitor here in Kenya. And I write to you based on a request by
an investor who is in urgent needs to relocate his assets into your country through your assistance. I am
representing the interests of very wealthy investors mainly from East and North Africa. Due to the sensitivity
of their position they hold in their organization and the unstable investment environment of their countries,
they prefer to channel/move majority of their funds into more stable economies and developing nations
where they can get good yield for their assets and its safety.

I will like us to discuss my proposal in details. My client Dr. Riek Machar former Vice president of South
Sudan has given me a mandate to move all his assets to a safer location from its present locations in Africa
and Europe, with the assistance of a foreign interest that is capable and can be trusted. This is coming in
the heels of the ongoing Civil war in South Sudan (where he is a major player). Ever since his purported
and unconstitutional removal by the sitting president Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit which resulting the ongoing
civil war, his personal safety, assets and investments are no longer guaranteed under the present
government

I have been given the power of attorney to negotiate with you on the working Terms, so long as you can
demonstrate that you have the capacity to handle the investment fund. On your concurring response I shall
send my telephone number for us to also communicate verbally
Note that it is necessary that we set up a face to face meeting between you and myself in order to seal the
partnership agreement as soon as we confirm your capacity & capability to manage my investor's fund.
I will raise a draft copy of an M.O.U and JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT as the investment fund is in
millions of dollars. We shall jointly sign this agreement for a specific period of time and both parties will
abide to the terms and conditions of the contract. I will gladly communicate the venue and procedures for
our meeting once i read from you. Please treat as urgent.
Best Regards,
Barr: Abed OmarPersonal representative
