"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Compliment of the day,

I hope this mail finds you well. I write with sincerity to seek your
cooperation and assistance to enable us take advantage of an opportunity
at my end for mutual benefit. I am the Marketing Manager of ALERO ALLIED
AND AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD, an Agro company based in West Africa,
Nigeria,which specializes in trading of food dietary and
supplement(especially: Amanisas Fresh Oil Liquid and Nico Liquids) for
Sub Saharan horses, and other animals. We have been purchasing this oil
liquids from Syria at the price of 46,000euros, but due to the present
crisis in Syria, the product is scarce, and it is unsafe to travel to
Syria.

I recently got a contact of a local dealer in Germany who sells these Oil
Liquids at the price of 24,000 euros. I want you to stand as the oil
dealer that I will be introducing to our CEO, while I give you the
contact details of the local dealer in Germany, so you can discuss with
him on how to get this oil prior to the arrival of our procurement
manager. I want you to sell this Oil to Allied Allero Agro Ltd at the
price of 39,000 Euro, so we can stand in the position of earning 15,000
euros and then share it 50/50.

Our CEO will be very happy to get this oil at the price of 39,000 euro
compared to the price in Syria, as we are urgently in need of these Oil
Liquids in large quantity, following unceasing high demands from our
customers. Once I receive your positive response, I will inform our CEO
about you, after which he send our procurement manager to meet with you
and inspect the Oil, after which you will be advanced payment to sell to
him. Allied Allero Agro Ltd is in need of this oil in a very large
quantity, so we stand in a position of making alot of gain if we partnerup
and execute this plans accordingly. I am currently in UK now, and we can
schedule a suitable time for a telephonic discussion if possible.
