"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

Hello Dear,

I am seeking your assistance but I am short of options and have no
other choice, I am Capt. Lucy Sylvester, a woman war veteran with
United Nations (U.N) troops here in Tripoli Libya and I have $46
million U.S. Dollars, which I made from crude oil here and I deposited
the money in a private security company here since we are not allowed
to operate bank account as Army officers.

Why I am explaining this to you is to seek for your assistance to
enable me send a trunk box out from Libya, knowing that a good
relationship can always be built irrespective of tribes nor races
because I have been to different countries of the world for public
services.

I would invest the money in your country if you agree to keep the
funds safely in your country for business and other investment
projects through you. If you are interested, please reply to me
immediately and I will send you the full details on how to move the
sealed box of the money to your country by diplomatic immunity courier
delivery and please send to me your full name and your direct mobile
telephone number.

I assure and promise to give you 30% of the funds as your share while
you will help me secure 70% in your country for profitable business. I
hope I have been fair on this deal. However feel free to negotiate
what you wish to have as your percentage in this deal. And please
assure me of your keeping this topmost secret within you so that my
job would not be jeopardized because of my position in the Army.

Thanks and best regards,
Capt. Lucy Sylvester.
Tripoli Libya.
