"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention:

You have been awarded ($1,500,000.00USD)Charity Fund by Senior Evangelist
Mathew Peterson Foundation.

Greetings,

I am the new appointed Postman of United Bank Of Africa (UBA) branched at
Cotonou Benin. I assumed this office on 27th, Sep, 2014. On going through
the files of the previous records of this office, I discovered that there
are six parcels containing ATM cash cards each one attached with the
contact address of the owner on it. The former appointee of this office
(Alhaji Ahmed Musa) failed to carry out the delivery as it was instructed
and programmed. Probably, one of his reasons for not carrying out the
delivery was that you have not provided your postal address to him for the
completion of the delivery as he remarked in his file.

According to the content recorded in each file, the funds was instructed
to be credited into an ATM card and be dispatched to six (6) listed emails
address in South Africa by one Senior Evangelist Mathew Peterson who died
of the deadly Ebola virus one mouth ago in Liberia,West Africa for charity
work,Ebola virus disease (EVD), Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF), or simply
Ebola is a disease of humans and other primates caused by an ebolavirus.
Symptoms start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a
fever, sore throat, muscle pain, and headaches. Typically, vomiting,
diarrhea, and rash follow, along with decreased function of the liver and
kidneys. Around this time, affected people may begin to bleed both within
the body and externally.

Before his death, he however stated that each of the aforementioned ATM
cards contains the sum of ($1,500,000.00USD) (One Million, Five hundred
Thousand Dollars), Which you can withdraw Fund at any ATM Machine in your
location Worldwide, with maximum daily limit amount of USD$10,000.00 (Ten
Thousand United States Dollars) and he found your email contacts as
reputable and capable persons that can use the charity awarded ATM Cards
to change the lives of the HIV AIDS affected people in South Africa and
the world at large. He further told us that at list 60% of the fund should
be invested in Benin Republic, Reasons are best known to him.

Meanwhile, I've made all the necessary arrangement to commence the process
of posting the six parcels through the DHL OR FEDEX Courier Services to
the six of you to your respective mailing addresses.

Am also sending the same message of the same content to six of you that
his been awarded with this UBA AFRICARD ATM VISA CARDS each at the same
time. If found in spam folder, it could be due to your Internet Service
Provider, ISP. So move to your inbox before your reply.

A meeting was held yesterday as to the problem surrounding the untimely
death of Senior Evangelist Mathew Peterson who was one of our respectful
customer, and after all deliberation, the Panel Agreement was to contact
you and deliver your UBA AFRICARD VISA ATM to you, which is a worldwide
