"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Dear Friend and Partner.

Hello,

My name is Miss Wendy Thomas and my younger brother Yowanne Thomas, I have a business proposal of Six Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars  ($6.5,000,000.00) for you. If you are interested, Reply back to me as soon as possible for more details.

We lost our parents during the recent civil war in my country Cote d'Ivoire . Since then ,our uncles became the worst nightmare in our dear life as orphans we are" without knowing the existance of this fund my late father deposited in my name as the next of kin to the fund in the bank. My late father stated in the deposit agreement bond that the fund will be transfered out of the bank only when i present someone capable and reliable that will stand on my behalf as my foreign partner and my guardian to the fund until i am 25 years old due to my under age to invest the fund and also among enemies in our family as if he knows. I and my brother have France nationality and was studing in France before the sudden death of our both parents 2012.

I speak french, but my younger brother Yowanne speaks English and French. I awaits for your response

Yours Sincerely,
Wendy Yowanne.
