"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GREETING FROM ADAMS 1-12-2014

Hello,

My name is Adams,I am the head of Nigerian Foreign Debts Office.I know you will be wondering how I got your email address, and what I want from you. Well, I got your email address from Google search,so I developed interest to contact you privately for a business transaction. I understood that recently people hardly believe any proposal they receive on the internet, due to internet scam. But I assure you that this business is real and it has nothing to do with scam.

I have one Foreign Contract Debt File in my office, which I need to approve for the payment. The contract sum is $18.6 Million Dollars, and the contractor whom executed the job here in Nigeria, died along with his family few months back, they were infected by Ebola in Libya. So since he has nobody to claim the fund,I want you to work with me as the late contractor's beneficiary to enable me approve the payment to you.

Please note that this business is confidential and 50% of the fund is yours, then the other 50% will be mine. So if you are interested to work with me kindly get back to me,then I will let you know what next to do.

Regards
Adams Li.
