"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Paul Zokora

  Dear Friend,
Accept my apologies for contacting you through this medium since we do not know each other prior to this message. But for security reason and of course confidentiality, I have no better and safer means to carry out this project, First and foremost, I must solicit your strictest confidence in this transaction and I pray that my decision to contact you will be given genuine approval I wish to use this opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I am Paul Zokora from Liberia, I write to inform you of my desire to invest, and to buy a living house in your country. I am the first son of Mr. KAFUR ZOKORA, my father was a diamond/gold merchant in my country. My father had a bullet shot by the rebels on his way traveling out of my country with two of my younger sister's due to crisis that is occurring in our country (Liberia). My sister's died on the spot while UN peacemaker, keeping force rescued my father, and he was taken to hospital for medical treatment, which he later died.
Before he died he revealed to me and my mother about the box containing: some raw gold and $15.5 million, (fifteen million five hundred thousand us dollars). Which he deposited with a security company in Ghana for safekeeping.
The good news is that my father did not disclose the real content to the security Company Authorities; he only told them that it was Precious Family Treasures, gift meant for his foreign business associate to avoid the officials from raising eyebrows to the funds. So no body knows the real content as money only I and my mother knows. Presently I and my mother are here in Ghana to notify the security company for the claims, we are here as refugees.
Therefore I want you to stand as my late father foreign business associate and be our beneficiary to this funds and withdraw this funds out from the security company as the direct beneficiary of the consignment and direct us on how best we can invest this money, because my father told me that it is dangerous to invest this money in Liberia to avoid suspicions, and due to market instability coupled with economic and political instability facing African countries, that is why we want to invest in Abroad.
All we need from you is an assurance that you can handle the raw gold and amount involved fifteen million five hundred thousand us dollars (US$15.5 million) comfortably and that we can also trust you with this arrangement. I and my mother have agreed to compensate you with 25% of the total amount after the transaction and we also agreed to offer you 15% in any profit we made annually as our investment manager. Please reply and tell me your willingness about this project, so I can furnish you with other necessary information’s.
The depository documents about this consignment are very intact with us this transaction is 100% free risk. I want you to stand as the foreign business associate of my late father so that we can move this fund to your country or any country of your choice for the investment purpose.
Again I will like to have your contact details such as, your full name, occupation, address, and your mobile phone number.
Note: I will like you to keep this as confidential as ever. Waiting for your urgent response.
Yours sincerely,
Paul Zokora.
