"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: Sorry, I thought you received it

Hi,

How are you ? Am sorry I was not able to write earlier. I hope this time around, you can receive my message and reply. I wish to know how possible it is to relocate in your country for university career and security resasons. Am in my second year of Foreign Language Studies and International Relations at the Ivoiro-Canadian University in Cote dIvoire. Am Andrea Carla Lecomte, 24 yrs France citizen.

The issue is that, not only that education in this country is very poor, but I unforunately stopped my studies in 2010 due to my death of my father and because of my uncle who is hunting me for my father properties. I and my my dad have been living in this place for the past 20 years after my mother died in France when I as 4. He was a real estates owner and investor in gaz and oil before he was mistakenly killed in 2010 during the political crisis. The only relative I should have had is my father brother. But because of his selfishness and greed, he took over my dad investments and dispossessed me of everything with the condition of marrying him, then I can have my share, which I refused.

Luckily for me this year, my fathers lawyer who is presently living in the U.S contacted me and told me about a life insurance of great value my dad suscribed for with a bank here in Cote dIvoire, which documents are in his possession. However, although I am the beneficiary in case of death, I will be needing a relative or a tutor for the claim. Since then, my uncle made life difficult to me and is still pursuing me. I had to move in another city and hide in my mate house while searching for a solution. I therefore decided to relocate to your country.

I want to plead and beg you for your kindness and parental assistance in my case. I first need you to be my tutor in your country and secondely, in the capacity of my tutor, you will stand for me for the claim of my father's life insurance rights. What you will have to do is communicate with the insurance institution and inform them that you are my tutor in your country and in the absence of my father, I have appointed you to process the realease of my father's life insurance. This process should be done secretly so that my uncle will not be aware until I leave this place and come in, your nation. It's true you do not know me neither do I, but I have no choice than confiding in someone by searching for a foreign assistance. I will appreciate if you would help me on this life issue. I supplicate your attention to save me. Rest assured that you will benefit of this claim if you can insure my safety with you. You can investigate all the above with the lawyer if you wish.

Counting on your parental care and understanding,

Regards,
Andréa Carla L.
