"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE: Inquiry - From Inzha P. R.

dear sir/madam, i am a sole owner of a high profile drug/medicine
manufacturing company and a former top government official in my
country. currently, i am trying to take refuge in your country due to
circumstances beyond my control. i mean, circumstances in which i lost
my family in a bomb blast. now, i am single, very ill, hospitalized,
bitter and confused. due to the condition which i find myself, i've
decided to start a new life and re-establish myself in your country. i
have my treasured/vital/important documents, tools, properties,
company files, company data and company setup plan; which i put in 2
metallic trunk boxes. the boxes contain everything i need to start a
new life. the contents of the boxes worth over millions of dollars (in
estimate).

i negotiated with a red cross officer also/otherwise called (diplomat)
to deliver the boxes to a friend in your country. i told the
(diplomat) that the boxes contain important documents. i don't want
him to know the actual valued content of the boxes because he may run
away with the boxes. the (diplomat) also charged me the sum of $8,000
to deliver the boxes to my friend (which i paid him cash). arriving at
my friend's address, the (diplomat) discovered that my friend died 2
days before his arrival.

the diplomat informed me about the death of my friend. it was a
shocking news to me because i read a message from my friend a day
before his death. i advised the diplomat to leave the boxes at the
security department of the airport. now, the (diplomat) left the boxes
with the securities at the airport; and left to deliver consignments
in other locations. the diplomat) promised to return back to the
airport and deliver the boxes to any new address/contact which i will
give to him. right now, the (diplomat) is waiting for a new name and
address, of who and where to deliver the boxes.

i am writing to you because you will be of great assistance. i don't
know anyone in your country. my only friend in your country died
recently. this is why i am searching for a considerate and sincere
person, who can assist me and keep the boxes. this is a risk free
transaction. i already locked the boxes with padlock and security
code. nobody can open the boxes without me. in my current situation, i
have no option than to trust you. if you can accept the boxes and keep
them safely in your custody, i will order the (diplomat) to deliver
the boxes to you.

construction of 'my choice' of a drug/medicine manufacturing company
will cost 'not less than' $2 million. immediately i arrive to your
country, you will be my guardian/counselor/agent. you will also
receive a kind reward for assisting me; and also be registered in the
company's payroll. you can be my general manager/director if you are
competent and qualified. please, keep the boxes safely till i arrive
your country. remember, i paid all the delivery charges to the
(diplomat). only your personal information is needed for the
(diplomat) to deliver the boxes to you. i need your: NAME, CONTACT
ADDRESS & TELEPHONE/CELL NUMBER.

i expect your urgent response to this mail. the photo of the boxes and
my current photos are in the email attached file. the diplomat is a
global licensed delivery agent. he can pass through any border or port
without any obstacle. i expect your urgent response to this letter.

regards from,
mrs. ruku pierru
