"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I got your contact from the world trade bureau with further information from a reliable source,however,I decided to contact you based on satisfactory and reliable information about you and your company as regards the business information concerning your country and safety of our funds in a steady and well defined economy such as that of your country to compare with our country Nigeria.
I am the Auditor General of the Nigeria National Petroleum Co-operation(N.N.P.C)I and my close and
trusted colleagues from the Task Force set up by the Federal Government to investigate the missing FORTY NINE MILLION UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DOLLARS($49M) in the oil industry recently,as alleged by some members of the

We have also put in place the machinery to guarantee a successful conclusion that this fund should be shared according to the agreement reached by us and your company, and we shall invest part of the fund in buying your products or any business you can nominate for us in your country because we are not business men (we are government workers).
