"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear friend,

Dear friend,

Greetings to you.

I am Jacob A.Jacob Jnr.,19 years and the first son of Mr.and
Mrs.Richard Jacob,a cocoa and gold marchant.

Our parents were killed in the 2011 political crises here in our
country Republic of Cote d'Ivoire. Since then,I and my siblings are
living with our aunt,a sister of our mother.

My dear,I have an inheritance valued at 18.3 million United States
dollars. The fund is in a bank here in our country.I have been advised
by our aunt to invest the fund in real estate business abroad.

My aunt can not handle the investment process for me due to her poor
health conditions. You were introduced to me by the Prime Minister of
our country Honorable Daniel Kablan Duncan a good friend to my father
and I have trusted you to receive the fund and to invest it in real
estate business for me in your country.

After you receive the fund,I and my siblings will come to your
country. We will live in your country and continue our educations.

You will be dealing directly to me until the fund is transferred to
you by the bank.

My regards and deep love to you and everyone in your family.

Jacob A.Jacob Jnr.
