"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Attention: Good News,

Happy New Year to you and your families/love once, how are you doing today
together with your families/friends hope they are doing great in the Lord.
Am really sorry you did not hear from me again last year, is because I
receive an urgent call from my state Governor to come and contest for our
state Local Government Chairman which is my right because I told him last
time that I lost my job as a Lt General.

I really thank almighty God that the election has taken place which I won
as a Local Government Chairman in my state and I have occupied the sit.
Now am contacting you to let you know that God has answered our prayers by
making me our state Local Government Chairman and our state has many CRUDE
OIL which our yearly budget is larger than other 36 states in Nigeria.
Yesterday been 22th of MARCH 2015 Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved
our 2015 Local Government budget.

Finally, the time have come for God to wipe your tears and shames for many
years but if you believe it, because it was writing in the bible that
blessing shall be release upon those that believeth in the name of our
Lord Jesus.

Please get back to me now to enable me explain more to you on how we will
get this deal done.
